Yoga is an all over body experience joining movement and breath to clear the mind, improve flexibility and build strength. We offer safe, sustainable Yoga with lots of variations to suit different bodies. We strongly believe that ANYONE can do yoga
Hatha offers a flowing sequence of movements, in which the asanas (poses) and prana (energy/breath) are inter-connected.
We practice Pranayama techniques (breathing techniques) to calm, energise and regulate your breath and body.
Sometimes poses are held for several breaths to refine your understanding and feel of the pose.
In each class, we will practice being present, strengthen and stretch the muscles of the skeletal, respiratory and cardiovascular systems and cultivate the strength, flexibility and resilience of the mind, body and spirit.
The term “yin yoga” comes from the Taoist tradition. Yang relates to movement, often repetitive movement, creating heat in the body.
Yin is about finding stillness and cooling the body. And, the theory goes, we need both to come into balance to stay in optimum condition.
In Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures that are held for longer periods of time. It’s great for those with busy life styles that want to find some calm and real “me” time.
