Don’t put up with incontinence.
Our experts can help.
Incontinence can be an embarrassing consequence of this treatment/surgery. The symptom of accidental leakage of urine can be embarrassing and the best way to deal with this is to be prepared and learn how to minimise it.
Pelvic floor muscle exercises can also help to enhance the quality of an erection which can be an issue after this type of surgery, we can improve this with progressive strengthening exercises and acupuncture
We use Pilates floor/machine based exercises, swiss ball, gym activities to enable you, to return to full everyday activities and your sport without embarrassing incidents
Basic general anatomy and workings of the bladder and pelvic floor will be taught before assessment and teaching of the correct exercise regime.
Regain quality for life
We are trained in pilates and acupuncture and with your agreement we may use some of these techniques to speed recovery thus enabling return to normal function and sport as soon as possible.
Ideally, if you’re going for surgery you should start your exercise regime four to six weeks prior to surgery and then continue after the catheter has been removed.
As expert pelvic floor physios there are many issues we can help you with to regain quality for life.
